The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) is an arm’s-length government agency that supports student learning in Ontario. Our data, research and resources empower parents, guardians, educators, policy-makers and others with information to help them determine how best to strengthen student outcomes across the province.

When completing your profile to participate in EQAO activities, including scoring or committee-related activities, you will be asked to provide personal information, such as your name, address and employment history, which will be used for selection purposes. You may also choose to provide personal information about how you self-identify. EQAO uses this information to support the agency’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion by ensuring that those performing EQAO activities reflect the diversity of students in Ontario.

EQAO collects, uses and discloses personal information under the authority of the Education Quality and Accountability Office Act (EQAO Act) to fulfill its statutory objects, which include the administration and marking of student tests in elementary and secondary schools. This collection of information complies with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990.
