Description
EQAO’s Open Data webpage makes EQAO datasets freely available for everyone to use, without restrictions from copyright, patents or other mechanisms of control. In fulfillment of the Ontario’s Digital and Data Directive, 2021, EQAO makes its data available to support innovation and to encourage the data’s use to improve the quality of education in Ontario and beyond. EQAO is committed to openness, accountability and transparency. If the dataset you are seeking is not readily available, you may request it by clicking the Data Request Application button below (please read the information below before submitting the application form).
EQAO Data Portal
To fulfil EQAO’s goals of making its data accessible, the agency has launched a Data Portal Initiative with the following objectives:
- streamlining the data request process,
- improving access to data files, and
- ensuring historical data files adhere to the current privacy guidelines.
Aggregate data files that correspond to the public interactive dashboards are available through the EQAO’s Open Data repository. Please note that these files are limited to the data presented in the publicly available dashboards and have all identifying information removed.
Please note that not all data points provided in the interactive dashboards are available in the Open Data repository. Additionally, data changes that occur after Ministry reporting may not be accounted for in the data files. If you have any questions, please e-mail EQAO at [email protected].

Upon review of your application, you will receive an e-mail message with further instructions. Please note that EQAO reserves the right to deny applications that do not comply with our data-sharing policies.
