THE EDUCATION QUALITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY OFFICE (EQAO), AN ARM’S-LENGTH AGENCY OF THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, is seeking experienced English and French-language educators (elementary or secondary).
EQAO is responsible for the large-scale assessment program in Ontario. The provincial assessments are administered in the primary division (Grade 3), the junior division (Grade 6) and secondary school (Grade 9 and Grade 10). Education officers are responsible for working on the design, development, review and implementation of assessment programs, as well as the related scoring and reporting, to ensure that all aspects of EQAO assessments, and related materials and processes, are developed in accordance with Ontario Curriculum expectations and best practices in large-scale language or mathematics assessment, and that all aspects are consistent, where appropriate, across assessments.

Salary: $70,538 - $121,773 (Secondment)* Salary and benefits reimbursed directly to school board.
Period of Secondment: Up to three years.

Successful candidates will
Provide expertise in the planning, development, administration, scoring, and reporting of assigned grade-specific large-scale education assessment activities for elementary and secondary schools in Ontario.
