The player will show in this paragraph
Teachers from Elliot Lake Secondary School, Elliot Lake (Algoma District School Board); Gravenhurst High School, Gravenhurst (Trillium Lakelands District School Board); Sacred Heart High School, Walkerton (Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board); Twin Lakes Secondary School, Orillia (Simcoe County District School Board); and Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute, Thunder Bay (Lakehead District School Board) share their perspectives and experience working on EQAO's Range-Finding Committee.
Background
EQAO Range-Finding Committee
Subject experts from the Ontario education system prepare a high-quality set of scoring tools and training materials for scorers to ensure the accurate, reliable and consistent scoring of the open-response items on EQAO assessments. Representative samples of student responses to define and illustrate the range of performances according to the codes of the scoring rubrics are selected.
