Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics
This assessment measures the mathematics skills students are expected to have learned by the end of Grade 9.
There are two Grade 9 programs (academic and applied) and the assessment addresses the two distinct pathways with different versions of the assessment.
Students are required to demonstrate both
- content expectations and
- cognitive processes
according to The Ontario Curriculum.
High school students who take mathematics in the first semester of the school year write the Winter Test version of the assessment in January. Students taking mathematics in the second semester or throughout the school year write the Spring Test version in June.
