Versions of the released Primary and Junior Division Assessments for students with special needs who require assistive technology are available for download. These versions can be used to prepare students for the upcoming assessment and to ensure the assistive technology will function with our assessments. If you encounter difficulties, please contact your school IT representative.
This is an important voluntary opportunity for schools to provide feedback about Grade 3 students’ capability to use a Student Answer Sheet, and a chance to suggest areas for improvement. The pilot will involve schools administering a test similar in format and procedure to the Assessment of Reading, Writing and Mathematics that occurs each year in spring.

There may therefore be questions on the assessments that require specific mathematics manipulatives. EQAO assessments are scored using rubrics. The rubrics for the primary and junior division assessments give the criteria for scoring and describe the type of student response that receives each of the codes.
